Choosing a sofa is one of the biggest decisions you will ever make. Things to consider – comfort, appearance, how hard-wearing is the fabric, style and size are some of the major factors.
Below we list our favourites in accordance with these factors when purchasing a sofa.
Matthew Hilton’s Oscar is fast becoming a Design Classic for SCP. Its appearance with its turned walnut legs is of a more traditional nature but the proportions and the way the seat has button pulls is truly modern and original. Available in many different sizes and fabrics, this truly is a Cimmermann favourite.
HAY Mags Modular
Mags by HAY is a modular sofa offering clean lines in a modern Scandinavian style. One of our best-selling sofas due to the number of different configurations and hard-wearing fabric choices. Mostly suited to contemporary interior schemes with its straight edges and rigid seat style.
A truly original sofa designed by Hella Jongerius for Vitra. Hella Jongerius chose five carefully selected colour combinations and fabric qualities for her Polder design. The colours are accentuated with high-tech threads and large buttons made from natural materials. In Holland, the term ‘Polder’ refers to the artificial land reclaimed from the sea by means of dikes and drainage canals, hence the design and appearance of Polder. This one is for the true Design Lovers out there.
If you want comfort then Rest is for you, so comfortable you won’t want to get up. The contrast between the defined back frame and the soft cushioning tells a story of the comfort that awaits you. Sit back and relax!
The Suita system family consists of many individual components, one of these is a table to fix too the back to create a neat work area. A modern style yet with a softness that the designer Antonio Citterio has carefully considered when designing Suita.
Whatever your choice, you can’t fail with any of our favourite sofas – thats why we love them.
